A pure mid purple, vibrant red fruit energy, dark raspberry. There is a sensuality to this and a fine tensile strength, darker fruit, well integrated oak, and persistent. Drink from 2029-2035.
Cask sample. Over £100 a bottle for Beaune premier cru …! Having said that, this is a fine example of Clos des Mouches with vibrant and pure red fruit on the nose. Intensity and drive on show. Very impressive and all in great balance but I wouldn't want to spend this much, even though this is a very fine premier cru.
A very svelte, silky pinot noir that glides onto the palate with ripe cherries, cooked plums and a reserve of tangy, sour cherries that keep it lively and well balanced. One of Drouhin’s super-consistent bottlings year in and year out, and this is an excellent year. Drink now or hold.
