The 2025 Gramadoelas is 100% Grenache Blanc, from one hectare planted in 2009 on schist soils in Klein Karoo around 460 metres above sea level. It has a very expressive bouquet, like the previous vintage, with white peach and walnut, a little almond and subtle leesy aromas. The palate is taut and fresh, citric and very tensile. Superb underlying sapidity here with a residual lemongrass note that tingles on the tongue after the wine has departed. Very classy and I am intrigued to see how this will age in bottle. Drink 2028-2044.
