After using 100% new oak in 2010 - a "mistake", according to Jacques Thienpont - the 2011 from his new St Emilion property is much less marked by barrels, with only 30%. It's youthful and quite tannic from barrel, with more alcohol and rusticity than Le Pin, but has good freshness and persistence. One to watch. 8+ years.
