The 2022 Barbera d'Alba is a powerful, resonant wine. It offers notable textural depth, one of the signatures of Rombone, where all this fruit is sourced. Dark red plum, rose petals, cinnamon and leather fill out the layers. This is a relatively big wine. Today, I find the aromatics a touch muted.
