Cornas Signature, Domaine Verset A & E 2021

Ripe raspberry, black cherry, cedar, leafy gradations and licorice introduce the expressive 2021 Cornas Signature Verset. Medium- to full-bodied, concentrated and layered, the 2021 totally shines in this challenging vintage. Give it another two years in bottle for the ripe yet grippy tannins to mellow. (Drink between 2026-2035)

With its clove oak characters, this is a rich and opulent wine for the vintage, ripe and full-bodied. The tannins are driving and intense, with a rapier-like acidity that cuts through the centre. Classically shaped and textured, with the fruit and generosity to last. Whole-bunch fermented, matured in barriques and demi-muids of between three and eight previous uses. This cuvée is a selection of their best barrels.
