Tasting Notes

The 2022 Pinot Noir Los Alamos Vineyard is elegant, gracious and lifted, as it always is. Crushed red berry fruit, spice, tobacco, cedar, rose petal and dried herbs all waft from the glass. There is a bit of nervousness in the tannin, but otherwise, this is nicely done. Drink: 2024-2032

Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, July 2024

Leading with an herbal, autumnal nose of dried leaves, citrus peels and red cherries, the 2022 Pinot Noir Los Alamos Vineyard is an overperforming introduction to the Chanin vineyard-designate Pinot Noirs. The palate is supple yet silky, lined with a lifted salinity that runs through the nuanced and gently grippy finish. Drink: 2024-2030
