The 2004 Barolo is a stylish, elegant offering with perfumed red fruit and an accessible, feminine personality. It offers notable freshness and sweet tannins in a restrained style. In recent vintages this has been a very reliable entry-level bottling. (Drink between 2013-2014)
Scented, correct, smoky. Not flashy, despite the use of French barriques. Dry finish, quite enough fruit and a fine introductory object lesson in the charms of mature Barolo. Good value. (JR) 2012 – 2025
