The radiant, intensely golden-yellow 2023 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese (Gold Capsule) opens with a savory and concentrated nose of candied citrus fruits intertwined with saline notes, but it's rather shy at this stage compared to the Würzgarten Trockenbeerenauslese. Rich and viscous on the palate, this is a very intense, super finessed and vibrantly fresh TBA that will need a decade to open up a little bit. The acidity is like a laser beam cutting through this oily texture and richness. This is a very elegant and savory wine with 300 grams per liter of residual sugar uplifted by 20 grams per liter of total acidity. 60 liters were made. 6% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 26 24 in January 2025. 2040-2140.
