Tasted blind at Farr's 2002 Bordeaux tasting. Bold black fruits on the exuberant nose: bilberry and boysenberry. Good definition. Cedar coming through, well integrated oak. Smooth entry, soft tannins, low acidity, plush black fruit with cedar and spice. Lacks a little backbone on the finish but stylish and satisfying. Tasted October 2009.
Drink 2010-18 The second wine of Pichon Lalande. Rich, sweet and velvety. A bit over the top. Too sweet!
