Aromas of wild blueberries, raspberry preserve, rose petals and spices introduce the 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées, a medium- to full-bodied, fleshy and perfumed wine with an enveloping core of fruit, sweet tannins and a long, rose-inflected finish. This will be hard to resist young.
Another fine mid ruby purple. The nose has a slightly savoury touch, thus fitting in between the first two wines in style. Softer strawberry with fair depth, more open and evolved than would typically be the case, with a slight chocolate note. Frédéric brings in 2002 comparison as to how he would like these wines to turn out. They began on the light side and then developed beautifully. Drink from 2029-2035.
