Mid ruby purple. The bouquet hovers between raspberry and strawberry fruit, with some elegance. It bursts forward on the palate without exceeding its bounds, while the structure has a slightly greater presence than for Charles Magnien’s village wines, suited to longer ageing. A clean red fruit finish. Charles has to keep a watch here to avoid the grapes getting wrinkled. Drink from 2029-2036.
