A slightly riper combination somewhat grudgingly offers up its notes of super-fresh and spicy black cherry, currant, pepper, violet and a whiff of earth. There is slightly better volume and mid-palate density to the bigger-bodied flavors that exhibit outstanding length on the powerful, compact and built-to-age finale. This is also very good and a wine that should age accordingly.
