A blend of 45% Semillon and 55% Sauvignon Blanc. Again, this has great delineation on the nose with scents of greengage, lemon curd, chalk dust and white flowers. The palate is very well balanced, a real Burgundy character - Corton-Charlemagne comes to Pessac-Leognan! Real vibrancy, here again that almost sorbet like character mango, citrus fruits and apricot moving towards a more minerally, chalky finish. Good length. This is a superb wine. Tasted April 2008

Complex aromas of lilacs, honey, pineapple, papaya and cream follow through to a full body, with incredible intensity on the palate. Lasts for minutes. Bright and crisp acidity, but an intense tropical fruit character as well. More structured than most reds in 2007

55% Sauvignon Blanc, 45% Semillon. Rich and sulfidey on the nose – more obvious weight than the Laville. Very glorious and broad with lots of lanolin. Still pretty chewy but there is a big difference between the slimline Laville and the much richer Haut-Brion Blanc this year. Really interesting serious wine for the long term. Very long. Lemon oil. Spicy and only just dry. The acidity seems much lower than in the Laville. Big and bold. Drink 2012-22

Bright lemon-yellow color. Musky yellow apricot, peach, quince and honey on the nose. Large-scaled and fat with white fruits, spices, flowers and honey. A chewy, thick, voluminous wine with magical lift considering its richness; one can eat this! In contrast to the Laville, this is showing its semillon side today. Finishes with a remarkably long flavor of peach fuzz. Jean-Philippe Delmas notes that he made nearly 20% less of his two white wines in 2007 than in 2006-about 500 cases of each in the new vintage.

Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar

Gentle, oaky, waxy nose, with white flowers. Palate has spiky fruit, with good crisp acidity. Silky palate, with delicious honeyed flavour. Long and delicious. Drink 2016-23. 5 stars.
