The 2004 La Tour Blanche has a light and quite floral bouquet that is pretty and vivacious. The palate is well-balanced with a fine line of acidity, clean honeyed fruit, hints of Szechuan pepper and citrus lemon. It gently builds in the mouth toward a harmonious finish that is not the most complex rf sweetest of recent La Tour Blanche wines, but has a sense of refinement that is pleasing. Drink now-2025+. Tasted February 2014.
Very thick for the vintage, with lots of dried tropical fruit character and sweetness. Full-bodied, yet lively. I like this. It grows on you.
Coppery gold. Very deep botrytised flavours. Exciting pear and peach notes. Both weight and excitement - real life and potential. Lacks the taut energy of some but a good package.
