Tasting Notes

Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book (4), December 2003

The 1986 Lagrange is a vintage that I have not tasted for some time. It has a generous bouquet of cassis fruit that lends it a Pauillac-like allure, cigar humidor and peat coming through with time. The palate is well balanced with a slight touch of camphor on the entry, minty, fine grip and plenty of freshness. Still youthful and vibrant, this is drinking beautifully. 2026-2040.
