This is also beginning to lighten on the rim but there is no bricking present. However, the high-toned and
admirably fresh nose does display ample secondary development that includes hints of leather, warm earth and smoked game
that are also reflected by the relatively round and forward flavors that possess good energy and detail on the firm and ever-soslightly
dry finish. The acidity that overwhelms many '96s is certainly present but it is not aggressive though it is probably
responsible for the dryness. I would be drinking this now and over the next decade or so as there is no rush though neither do
I see any upside development from this point forward. 89/now+
