There is the barest hint of the exotic to the otherwise wonderfully elegant nose of airy white flower, subtle spice, lemon peel and cool green fruit. There is outstanding concentration to the refined, pure, dry and strikingly precise medium-full flavors that possess an almost pungent minerality on the almond and fennel suffused finish that also displays a hint of warmth on the gorgeously persistent finish. This is a seriously impressive wine by any measure but particularly so in the context of a difficult vintage for whites. I can't say that it is stylistically my favorite but as I
say this is certainly a wine of impeccable quality. Note too that it is sufficiently close to its peak that it could easily be enjoyed now. 94/2016+
As would be expected, a distinctly more elegant nose of airy white flower, subtle spice, lemon peel and cool green fruit is in keeping with the refined, pure, dry and strikingly precise medium-full flavors that possess an almost pungent minerality on the almond and fennel suffused finish that seems to go on and on without end. This is a wine of harmony, grace, style and classy. 2013+
