(from 45+ year old vines, which are the oldest vines of the Domaine). A reservedand quite discreet nose reflects notes of spice, honeysuckle and ripe white peach that complement well the rich, full andintense flavors that are delicious, textured and have a wonderful mouth feel on the beautifully balanced and powerful finish. This is a classic Bienvenues with impressive levels of dry extract yet this finishes quite dry. Lovely, understated andimpeccably balanced. (91-93)/2014+
Elegant and firmly structured, this white evokes hazelnut, stoneand pastry aromas and flavors. It's bright and juicy, turning firmerand tighter on the finish. Spice and mineral flavors play out on theaftertaste. Best from 2012 through 2025.
All tasted from tank at the winery with winemaker Eric Rémy in Nov 2008. The wines are moved from barrel to cuve just before the harvest, so they usually spend about 3-4 months in tank. 25% new oak. Pure and a little dusty on the nose but also creamy with fresh citrus notes. Much more powerful in the mouth but still beautifully balanced. Long and with everything it needs to fly. Drink 2012-2020. Date tasted 28th Jan 09.
