Côte Rôtie Côte Brune, Domaine Jean-Paul Jamet 2009

Tasting Notes

Their micro cuvée from Côte Brune. Very juicy and more complex on the nose that any of the single cuvées. Very racy and lively. Dancing on the palate. Ethereal. Good stuff.

The fresh, high-toned, floral notes on this nose belie the warmth of the vintage. Highly fragrant with violets, leather, green-olive tapenade, game and oodles of ripe, blue fruit. Seductive on the palate, the plentiful tannins are cloaked in the succulent fruit and increasing savoury depth. Finely balanced, with the signature fresh acid lift on the back end, it is absolutely gorgeous. (TP)
