A lavishly fruited nose of essence black raspberry and game hints marries into opulently rich and mouth coating broad-shouldered flavors that are loaded with dry extract that buffers to perfection the very firm tannic spine on the overtly powerful and tautly muscular finish. This is a seriously impressive effort and the best of these three Cortons as the old vine sap is very much in evidence.
Tasted from pre-prepared samples at the Domaine. This has great mineralite on the nose with flint, tart red cherries and a touch of cranberry leaf. Very lifted and precise. The palate has great purity and silky tannins, very good mineralite here, exuding panache and breeding towards the finish. The best of the Corton's from Meo-Camuzet. Fabulous. Tasted November 2010.
