Chapelle Chambertin, Domaine Rossignol-Trapet 2010

Tasting Notes

This is more complex if not quite as elegant relative to the Latricières with a densely fruit and layered nose of red berries, plum and distinct floral notes, all of which are intermingled with mineral nuances. The rich, round and impressively intense flavors possess both excellent volume and dry extract that partially buffers the very firm tannic spine, all wrapped in a mouth coating and seriously long finish. This is a big Chapelle and while usually the Latricières is the more interesting wine, there is just a bit more underlying material here in 2010.
