The La Clarte is 22% Sauvignon and 78% Semillon. It has a lifted lime leaf and pear scented bouquet with fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded lime and white peach entry. Fine acidity, light and elegant with a touch of bruised apple and lime towards the understated finish. Tasted April 2012.
A white with fascinating aromas and flavors of dried mangoes, limes and papayas. Full body but super-fresh and lively with electrifying acidity and a long, intense finish. The second wine of Haut-Brion and La Mission. Better in 2017.
With its herbal and pleasantly toasty aromas, with hints of lemon peel and beeswax for support, this isn't far behind Haut-Brion white in terms of complexity and vivacity. The oak is deftly woven into the wine, with lovely balance and persistence of flavour on the palate, finishing with a citrus fruit flourish. 3+ years.
Yellow fruits and dry herbs nose, supple and fleshy texture, precise and lifted acidity.
This shows a wonderful mango and dried pineapple with hints of meringue. Full and fruity with super fresh acidity and a long, long finish. The second wine of the whites from La Mission and Haut Brion. 78% Semillon and 22% Sauvignon Blanc.
