Tasting Notes

**Note: from vines averaging between 60 and 70 years of age**
A subtle application of wood sets off black and purple fruit aromas, in particular plum, as well as notes of spice and stone, both of which can be found on the rich, intense and palate soaking flavors that also abound with extract. Between the ripeness and the ample extract this could easily be top heavy but in fact there is excellent focus and balance. Villages level wines are rarely found at this quality level.
