The strawberry, light cherry, hazelnut and dust character are thought-provoking in this wine. It’s full-bodied, chewy and polished with a line of tannins that provide a beautiful frame for this wine. Just starting to be agreeable and positive. Drink or hold.
At 12 years old this is still a young wine. A beautifully complex nose of spice, roses and red fruit is followed in the mouth by a typically “Voerzio” style of ripe fruit, tar and rosehip. The firm tannins are more than matched by the intensity of fruit, and gradually subside and integrate into what is a complete, powerful and energetic wine. Just about drinking now with a lot of air, it gives the impression of something very special in the making. 95+ is conservative.
