Here there is a completely different aromatic profile with markedly more spice elements present that add breadth and a certain elegance to the primarily red and black pinot fruit nose though there are background hints of Asian-style tea, violet and lilac. I like the mouth feel to the well-delineated, intense and mineral-driven medium weight flavors that possess a saline character on the solidly complex and well-balanced if mildly austere finale. This is more forward than usual and should be mature, or close to it, after only 7 to 10 years.
The 2013 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru les Beaux-Monts already has an engaging floral bouquet that is expressive and beautifully delineated. The palate is showing just a touch of reduction but it is well balanced with ripe, tensile tannins with plenty of red fruit on the finish. This should have real joie de vivre once in bottle, but you cannot ignore the fine structure underneath.

This is lovely and a wine that should be approachable after 6 to 8 years though it will need 10 to 12 to arrive at its apogee.
