The 2014 Monbousquet Blanc has an intriguing bouquet, standoffish at first but some awakening to offer scents of yellow flower, creme brulee, and grilled almonds. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, notes of Golden Delicious, pear and pink grapefruit, although I would have liked to have seen more weight and substance on the finish with that faint tang of lemongrass. Drink over the next couple of years. Drink Date 2017-2021
Still rather primal, with a bright white peach note flecked with lemon curd and plantain accents, backed by a whiff of straw and a hint of coconut. This should slowly fill out into a broad, flattering white.
