A powerful, full-bodied cabernet that still manages to achieve finesse thanks to the perfect balance of fruit, oak and tannins. An autocratic portrait of cabernet, and of photographic reality. To 2043
Dense, rich and ripe cabernet sauvignon with classic blackberry, blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco and spicy oak flavours. Seamless red with a very lengthy finish. Although accessible now this wine clearly has great cellaring potential. Drink 2016 – 2033
93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. Very subtle and well integrated. Correct and beautifully integrated. A really lovely subtle wine. Complete and long.
This has an impressive core of fruit, showing blood orange and red currants, blueberry, red plum and more; plenty of spicy, mocha-scented oak too, then chalky notes, and a little leafy edge. The palate has a fine grain, dense and supple; tannins are smooth, even and dense. Long future, ripe and bright, but needs more time. Best from 2021. Screw cap.
