Exotic aromas of watermelon, plum and flowers with hints of stones. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and a fresh and clean finish. Racy and refined. Drink or hold.
From the Serralunga d'Alba township, the 2012 Barolo Margheria opens to a robust style and shows a heavier footprint. The density of the fruit is nicely played against the natural concentration of the vintage. The results are soft, succulent and ripe. Black cherry and wild berry appear from the bouquet with spice, wild mushroom and tobacco at the back.
Palish ruby with narrow orange rim. Powerful, aromatic nose, but much finer and lifted on the palate. Almost a little tart, then melting tannins and fruit on the finish. Quite hedonistic without being heavy or plump.
