Here too the nose is very ripe yet it manages to stay just short of being surmature with aromas of plum liqueur, spice, earth and a vaguely sauvage wisp. There is excellent concentration to the velvet-textured medium weight plus flavors that display ample power that continues onto the moderately warm but highly persistent and sappy finish that is shaped by very firm tannins. I would be inclined to serve this on the cooler side to combat the warmth if you're going to open a bottle young. Otherwise it should age well as there is both excellent density to buffer the prominent tannic spine.
