An expressive, airy and ripe nose layers together notes of lemon, lavender, acacia blossom and an interesting hint of tangerine. There is outstanding intensity to the saline and well-detailed middle weight flavors that brim with sappy dry extract on the slightly more complex and tension-filled finale. Lovely.
From magnum. Fresh to mid lemon. Plenty of white fruit weight. This still seems embryonic on the nose with just a little cream. More layers of fruit and cream on the palate, richer than usual for Lafon yet superbly balanced. Brilliant length and building steadily. Alcohol 13.00%. Drink from 2025-2032.
