Clos de Vougeot, Olivier Bernstein 2015

The 2015 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is straight up gorgeous. Possessing lighter ruby color as well as a huge perfume of framboise, cured meats, dried flowers, smoky oak, and exotic spices/incense, this beauty packs serious richness and depth on the palate and has building tannin, beautifully integrated acidity, an opulent texture and thrilling length. It’s a large scaled 2015 that never puts a foot wrong, offers beautiful complexity, and has an underlying elegance that will allow it to age gracefully for two decades or more. 100% new oak. Just a hint of reduction. Very juicy and sweet within a noticeable framework. Good definition and drive. Slightly drying on the end at the moment. Lip smacking.
