This is a lovely wine with some real richness and depth. The long finish is graceful, but it needs some aeration before the typical muscat aromas emerge. Better from 2018 and could easily age another five years after that. Made from biodynamically grown grapes.
The 2015 Muscat Goldert opens with a deep, fresh and mineral bouquet with super ripe but precise fruit aromas. Full-bodied but super pure and fresh, this is a really stunning, firmly structured and grippy Muscat. The finish is pure, lean and fresh, stimulatingly salty and crisp. A great Goldert in fact! 13.5% alcohol, almost one percent point more than usual (except for 2003, 2009 and 2012). Tasted as a sample a few days before the bottling.
