I could wax lyrical about the nose, but would then have no superlatives left for the palate. A gentle honeycomb fragrance already indicates that the grapes must have been picked at optimum ripeness. In the mouth the Morstein releases a true firework of flavours, where just the fruit exhibits manifold dimensions from the juicy exotic to crunchy stone fruit, mouth-watering citrus to green and zesty peel notes. Add authentic acidity, profound salty minerality and a firm yet not overpowering body and all of a sudden 2013 almost looks like the vintage of the century.
