Very floral and pretty with currant and violet character. Full body, round and velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. I like the hazelnut and chocolate undertones to this. Drink in 2020.
Tasted blind. Weak rim. Sweet black fruit on the nose. Headily ripe fruit and then rather drying tannins on the end – unintegrated. Some persistence – the bargain of this flight? VGV
Drink 2024-2034
Tasted blind. A deep ruby in the glass, this wine has a bright nose of cherries, plums and a little blackcurrant with integrated sweet vanilla and savoury nutmeg in the background. The palate is soft, supple and polished with fine, ripe tannins framing a juicy core of plummy fruit. There are notes of toasted spices and smoky oak, but they are integrated into the fruit. Lifted notes of dried flowers add brightness and complexity on a pure and juicy finish.
