Tasted at the UGC 2008 tasting in London. This is one of the best wines that I have encountered from this estate in recent years. It is very well defined on the nose with joyous blackberry, boysenberry and wild hedgerow and a touch of cedar. The palate is very well defined with good fruit concentration, a nice gamey element towards the structured, persistent finish that nods towards the Rhone. There is so much character within this wine. Excellent. Drink 2011-2025+ Tasted October 2010.
Small quantities of good fruit and medium body result in a correct, cleanly made, pleasant wine.
