An all but invisible touch of wood frames the notably somber if fresh and ripe aromas of both red and dark berry liqueur along with ample floral characters. There is a relatively refined mouth feel to the mid-palate of the mineral-inflected middle weight flavors that retain a solid sense of energy and delineation before concluding in a sappy, balanced and lingering finish. The supporting acidity is bright but it's not drying and overall this is a cool and restrained villages that is worth a look.
