A very dense and powerful young white with sliced-apple, pear and aniseed character and an undertone of fennel. Full-bodied. Salty and tangy. Great wine.
90% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Sémillon; 55% new oak. Barrel sample.
Strong aroma of fermentation, almost hoppy and definitely herbal. Leesy on the palate, slightly odd but certainly interesting if just a little sour on the finish. (JH) 13.5%
Grassy, vibrant and aromatic with Sauvignon Blanc typicity. The palate is lively and tangy, with pure grapefruit and a little flinty minerality. Very pure, fresh and elegant on the finish. Ideal for early consumption.

A stunning wine with a long, smooth, billowing palate and amazingly clean acidity on the finish. This is one of the successes of the vintage.
