The nose suggest some maturity - leather, raisins, dried fruit. The palate is a surprise because everything is a lot younger than the nose would suggest - this is a wine which initially screams brute force and power but the tannins are ripe and the acidity is evident so that boisterousness is tempered somewhat. There is a core of beautiful sweet cherry fruit with touches of balsamic and savoury notes that give a nod to it having some age. It is super complex and enjoyable now but you just know that the best is yet to come. A brilliant wine. Drink now and for a long time to come.
