The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle (Duc de Magenta) is another success, mingling notes of white flowers and pear with hints of orange oil, buttered toast and clear honey. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's deep and complete, with fine concentration and bright balancing acids.
Pale lemon and lime, a bit more lifted than the Abbaye. This is a very substantial wine with lifted fruit, more in plums than pears, clearly ripe, showing its power, but still very well balanced. Tasted: October 2020
Pale lemon in colour. Very vibrant on the nose, with peppermint and lemon oil bursting through with hints of white flowers. The palate is delicate and fine, with bright acids cutting through lemon curd and peach blossom. This is fleet-footed and saline through to a lifted, ethereal finish.
