60% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca, 15% Tinta Roriz from the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior subregions. Vines aged 38 years. They are hand-harvested and fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel conical vats. Rack and return is performed during fermentation. Aged about 18 months in French oak barrels. Winemakers Daniel Llose (Château Lynch-Bages) and Manuel Lobo (Quinta do Crasto).
Darkest red with purplish rim. Lifted, lively and gently herbal red and black fruits. Smells pure and fresh, with oak dominated by the fruit. The oak shows a little more on the palate but again it is the fruit that shines. Firm but finely textured and juicy freshness on the long finish. Drink 2020-2027.
