Produced from old vines on a hillside situated on clay-limestone soil. 2021 was a tricky year in Burgundy, but Jean-Marie feels that they managed to harvest this vineyard at full maturity and in very good weather conditions. Vinified and aged in barrels. Pale straw colour, the nose here is immediate and fruit forward, offering layers of peachy, peppery stone fruits and just a hint of smoky struck flint. The palate is lively and fresh, red apples and zesty acidity offering real crunch underneath fleshier notes of white pear. This is zippy and moreish, a delicious early drinker. No need to wait, enjoy it over the coming 4-5 years.
