Ente had enough volume this year to vinify the bulk of his 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Village in a large foudre, a vessel he tends to prefer for its lighter touch than traditional 228-liter barrels. Mingling aromas of white flowers, orange oil and crisp green orchard fruit with notions of warm bread and buttery pastry, it's medium-bodied, bight and mineral, with a pretty core of fruit, lively acids and a precise, saline finish.
