Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett Versteigerung, Weingut Joh. Jos. Prum 2021

Tasting Notes

The 2021 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett (Auction) is brilliantly clear, precise and fresh on the polished, elegant and complex, beautifully flinty nose that delivers white and intense but no green fruit aromas. Lush and fresh on the palate, this is a bright and uplifting, enormously saline and complex Kabinett with a crunchy mineral/phenolic structure and a long and tensioned finish. This is a fabulous, airy but serious and persistent Kabinett! The finish is spectacular indeed. 7% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023 (AP 18).

This cask sample of the 2021er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett Auction offers a magnificently pure and primary floral nose of lily flower, candy floss, fresh almond, jasmine, rose, and dill. The wine is sheer precision and airiness on the gorgeously playful and layered palate. The lightness yet precision and purity are mind-blowingly great. What a unique and pure Kabinett. 2031-2051
