Firm reduction. By contrast there is good vibrancy and freshness to the succulent and round medium-bodied flavors that possess a really lovely mouthfeel before concluding in a stony, complex, palate coating and youthfully austere bitter pit fruit-inflected finish. Excellent.
One of the high points of the range is the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes, a terrific cuvée that wafts from the glass with aromas of raspberries and cassis mingled with sweet soil tones, peonies and spices. Medium to full-bodied, rich and velvety, it's fleshy and concentrated, framed by ripe, powdery tannins and lively acids, concluding with a saline finish.
