**Note: from the south side of Nuits near Prémeaux and mostly from Longecourts**
Moderate amounts of wood and menthol surround the very earthy and sauvage-inflected aromas of mostly plum liqueur. There is excellent detail and a lovely underlying tension to the relatively powerful medium-bodied flavors that are better balanced on the lingering and firm finish. This is very Nuits in character and should age well over the mid-term.
Sweet black-cherry and raspberry nose, then a very nice balance of moderately dry tannins with lively berries and good concentration. The finish is long and rather polished for this usually tannic appellation. A large bottling from a three-hectare plot in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Drink on release or hold.
