**Note: from a vineyard near the bottom of Montée de Tonnerre**
Cool, pure and airy aromas include those of mineral reduction, just sliced citrus, especially grapefruit, and green apple along with background nuances of shellfish and quinine. There is excellent volume and richness to the caressing yet solidly energetic medium-bodied flavors that display fine length on the youthfully austere, balanced and already nicely complex finale. This is very good and worthy of interest.
From four plots around Montée de Tonnerre. More lemon than lime. Riper yellow fruit on the nose as well, though this begins to calm down and recentre on more classic Chablis. Yellow fruit is typical of this sector anyway. A little bit more chiselled to finish, while the acidity is certainly adequate. Drink from 2025-2029. Tasted: October 2023.
