Chassagne Montrachet Caillerets, Bernard Moreau 2015

Tasting Notes

The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru les Caillerets has a very focused and intense, mineral-driven bouquet with scents of grey slate and limestone, dew-speckled green apples emerging with time. The palate is taut and fresh, linear and very crisp, almost Bâtard-Montrachet in style. Yes, it feels a little correct and linear on the finish, but there is wonderful persistence in the mouth and superb salinity that will keep you coming back for another sip. This is excellent.
