The 2020 Extra-Brut Blanc de Noirs Les Voiettes, 100% Pinot Noir from Verzenay, sizzles with tension. Chalk, mint, sage, kirsch and dried flowers all race across the palate. Bright saline notes lend shape and tension throughout. This is a stellar showing from Savart. What a wine! The 2020 was vinified and raised in 500L barrels, then aged on the cork. What a great addition to the range. Dosage is 2 grams per liter. Disgorged: January 2025. (Drink between 2025-2035)
The 2020 Champagne Grand Cru Verzenay Les Voiettes Extra Brut pours a bright straw hue and offers ripe citrus with a fine mousse and focused energy. A mix of elegance, fruit, and tension, the texture is more straightforward. Drink 2025-2055. Entirely made from purchased Pinot Noir grown all in sand, coming from Verzenay, the sand gives this wine a distinct character. (Drink between 2025-2055)
