The 2003 Shiraz Greenock Block is a big, dense plum/purple-colored, full-bodied, powerful wine offering notions of figs, blackberries, licorice, and sweet oak. With a multi-layered mouthfeel as well as a tremendous finish revealing sweet tannin, it is a macho-styled Australian red to consume over the next 12-15 years. This is an impressive successor to Branson Coach House’s equally exciting 2002.
