Following some mediocre performances from cask, the 1994 has turned out to be better in bottle. A dark ruby color is followed by a spicy, moderately tannic, well-concentrated, elegant wine that reveals some tannin, yet copious quantities of fruit. It should be drunk between 2000 and 2008. Last tasted 1/97.
